Under the caring management of Sudha and Raj, we take pride in providing a true “home away from home” experience for every guest who stays with us.
A Property Rich in Character and History
The Warren Guest House has a fascinating heritage dating back to the 19th century when it operated as the renowned *Star Inn*, serving travelers and locals alike before closing in 1933. Located near the former southern terminus of the Carlisle Tramways, the property has witnessed generations of Carlisle’s history.
Over the years, the building has been thoughtfully extended and modernized while carefully preserving its distinctive charm and unique character. Although the exact origin of the name “The Warren” remains a mystery, its quirky and memorable appeal perfectly reflects the individuality and warmth that guests experience during their stay.
